CVI Laser Optics carries a comprehensive line of durable, high efficiency mirrors for beam steering, sampling, and laser cavity or alignment applications at high laser power. More than 350 partial and high reflectivity catalog mirrors are available directly from stock in narrowband, dualband, and broadband spectral profiles on flat, wedged, or curved substrates using a variety of robust dielectric and metal coatings, designed for 0° or 45° angle of incidence at wavelengths from 190 nm to 20 μm. Many more can be provided on a quick-turn, semi-custom basis.
In fact, almost any of our coatings can be applied to our uncoated mirror substrates or your own OEM substrate to create the exact mirror you need, from UV to infrared wavelengths.
Our mirrors begin as N-BK7 or UV-grade fused silica substrates polished to λ/10 surface figure, after which one of our high-efficiency coatings is meticulously applied and cleaned to achieve excellent surface quality and low scatter. Many of our multilayer dielectric coatings are applied using electron beam deposition, but we also utilize ion beam sputtering when ultra-high durability, laser damage threshold, and spectral performance are required. Our metal coatings include aluminum, silver and gold, with optional coatings for protection and/or enhanced spectral performance. They are complemented by our broadband dielectric mirrors, including our patented MaxMirror® and MAXBRIte™ mirrors which deliver a minimum of 98% reflectivity over a wide wavelength range at angles of incidence from 0° to 45° inclusive.
Our incredible range of catalog, semi-custom, and fully customized mirrors put the specifications in your hands, allowing you to choose the exact size, substrate curvature, coating type, and reflectivity you need. We have catalog and semi-custom mirrors optimized for use with almost every laser on the market, including but not limited to excimer, gas, high power Nd:YAG, Nd:YLF, diode, and Ti:Sapphire lasers. We also offer a range of flat, convex, and concave substrates in a variety of shapes and materials, all of which are available with any of our high reflectivity, metal and partial reflecting coatings.
Application tip: Coatings designed for non-visible wavelengths can sometimes appear almost transparent to the naked eye. For ease of use, we mark the unpolished edge of the mirror with an arrow pointing to the coated side of the mirror.
